Costume Inspiration
Here I will delve into some of my favorite costumes seen in film and television. It includes titles such as Crimson Peak, The Labyrinth, and many more.
Crimson Peak
These extravagant costumes have weighed heavy on my mind from the first moment I saw them. I appreciate how they took historical inspirations from the Edwardian and Victorian period creating it into even more of a fantasy than the style already is.
The Labyrinth
This film is exquisite in costume design from what each character wears throughout and how each outfit suits where the character is from. For example, Sir Didymus pictured on the left is a citizen of the labyrinth and is wearing medieval clothing while Jareth on the right wears more unique, detailed garments since he rules the goblin kingdom. Sara wears some fantasy at the start of the movie but when brought into a dream sequence is dressed in similar highly detailed and embellished garments that Jareth prefers.
Good Omens
Following their story from a vast timeline, the costumes utilized are a wonderful storytelling device for timeline and are always representative of the characters perceived the alignment by greater powers.
